Decided to have my very first blog, seeing as how Karen has her blog and now I have mine. What to say, well, its been raining a lot and to some people that might get annoying. For, I just love the weather warnings, little spice in life.
For those that wonder, M Dawg is my future dj name as sometimes when the time right, I spin the tunes for weddings and other events. I am doing 2 weddings this year for both my sister in laws, looking forward to it. 2011 is going to be a party year for sure and lots of wedding talk. Djing part time is a little dream of mine. Definitely renting the equipment for under $100 is the way to go for me. What can i say, i love music A LOT! IN the words of Brian Setzer, "the house is a rockin so don't bother knockin."
My other dream has been fulfilled and that is to have a ball hockey program in Mission for at risk youth. This week, i got good news of $1200 that i can spend on equipment. I run it once a week in Mission and this week or the next week I hope to get the police to come out and play. Hopefully, i plan to get a mini goalie clinic and also to get the AHL Heat players to come out. Going good. Working and playing at the same time with boss approval, good times.
Other dream is to get fit in 2011 and stay fit. I have signed up for the Vancouver Sun Run 10km and this summer I hope to run my very first half marathon on Manitoulin Island in Ontario. Training starts tomorrow. As a family we decided to incorporate Michi's ladder for healthy food choices and so far its working. No sugar till Sunday. My new health kick for 2011. Working so far, but we are not out yet. 38 pounds to go. Keep you posted.
My other dream was to play hockey and I have been doing that for 3 years now. Got a goal last night. Lots of fun hitting the rink with my brother!
Family is good, i love my family, my girls are awesome. I am getting razzed about my Christmas lights still up and on. Who says Christmas has to end New Years Day.
Then there is freedom in living in Christ, but that's another story. To be continued.
